After leaving Alpine Valley, if memory serves me right. Died in a copter crash, same as Bill Graham. Miss them both.

Yup. If I recall Clapton was also apart of that bill as well.

I think It was Robert Cray. If memory serves the first reports said that he has died in the crash.

I went to wikipedia the other day and it said that the encore only featured Clapton and Buddy Guy. For some reason I thought it was a split bill. It didn't mention Cray but I'm sure he would have been the logical opener for this time period.
